Appointment in Modern Dramatic Literature

The Department of English Language and Literature invites applications for
a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of
modern dramatic literature in English, with a background in practical
theatre.  Applicants should have a promising research record and strong
evidence of teaching ability.  Responsibilities include both undergraduate
and graduate teaching and supervision.  Candidates should submit the
following additional materials: a writing sample (20 page maximum), and
copies of graduate and undergraduate transcripts. Consideration will begin
January 15, 2003, but the committee will continue to consider additional
applications until a short list is drawn up. Please submit applications
