REMINDER

Dear Colleague,

The Working Group "From Page to Stage" of the International Federation
for Theatre Research invites submissions of proposals for its sessions
at the forthcoming IFTR/FIRT meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia, May
22-May 27, 2004.

The sessions of the Working Group "From Page To Stage" will be dedicated
to the 100th anniversary of THE CHERRY ORCHARD. We are taking under our
scholarly microscope all aspects related to non-traditional
directorial/casting/design approaches to the play. We are interested in
discussing whether the text itself resists or supports such
interpretations, bringing forward theatrical dynamics between the play
and its staging.

Please send your 200-300 word proposals to Maria Ignatieva
(ignatieva.1 at osu.edu) and Julia Listengarten (jlisteng at mail.ucf.edu).
The proposals should be received via e-mail by December 1, 2003. Please
include your professional affiliation and a brief curriculum vitae.

More information about the International Federation for Theatre Research
Conference can be obtained on the FIRT web-site at
www.firt-iftr.org/firt/home/jsp.
