Position Announcement
Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track)

Subject to budgetary approval, the Department of English Language and  
Literature invites applications for a tenure-track position at the  
rank of Assistant Professor to commence on July 1, 2007, in the area  
of Early Modern Drama.  Practical experience in performance and/or  
video and film would be advantageous.  Applicants should have a  
completed Ph.D., a promising research record, and strong evidence of  
teaching ability.  Responsibilities include both undergraduate and  
graduate teaching and supervision.  Candidates should submit a letter  
of application, complete curriculum vitae, a writing sample (20-page  
maximum), copies of graduate and undergraduate transcripts, a  
teaching dossier, and the names, institutional addresses, and email  
addresses of three referees whom the candidate has invited to write  
on his or her behalf.  All required information must be received  
before applications will be considered.  The closing date for
