          ADDITIONAL SESSIONAL & GUEST ARTIST POSITIONS AVAILABLE

The School of Dramatic Art invites applications from qualified individuals
interested in teaching the following courses:

FALL 2008

24-213-01   Scene Painting for the Theatre
Laboratory and demonstration course with an emphasis on materials,
texturing techniques, and the creation of three-dimensional effects.
(Tues - 10:00 am-12:50 pm)
Note: This course was originally posted as being offered in the Winter 2009
semester.   It will now be taught in the Fall semester.

24-225-02       Introductory Acting I
A practical study of the fundamentals of acting experienced through acting
                                    exercises.  (Mon/Wed - 4:00-5:20
pm)

24-277-01   Improvisation and Self-Development
Involves the development of performance skills through a practical
application of theatre games and basic elements of improvisation with
emphasis on self-development.   (Mon/Wed - 2:30-3:50 pm)

24-384-01   Creative Movement and Voice II
The study and practice of movement and voice as they relate to the
individual, theatre, and the classroom. Emphasis may be on one or both
disciplines as necessary.     (Tues/Thurs - 10:00-11:20 am)

WINTER 2009

24-129-01   Improvisation and Introduction to Acting II
The study and practice of basic elements of acting and improvisation.
(Mon/Wed - 2:30-3:50 pm)

24-235-01   Introductory Acting II
Emphasis is on acting exercises based on script analysis. (Tues/Thurs -
2:30-3:50 pm)

24-325-01   Intermediate Acting III
Emphasis is on the development of situation and characterization. The
period to be studied may vary from year to year.  (Tues/Thurs - 10:00-11:20
am)

NOTICE:     24-261 Drama in the Classroom: Applications has been removed
from the Winter 2009 sessional postings due to budget cuts.

Applications from those who have taught previously in Dramatic Art should
be accompanied by an updated C.V.

Applicants who have not taught previously in Dramatic Art should submit a
current curriculum vitae with their letter of application and arrange to
have three letters of reference forwarded to: Prof. Diana Mady Kelly,
