Subject: FPR Recommended Ratings, submission
Dear Chairs and Administrative Managers,

Thank you for your patience in awaiting the introduction of ARTS new online portal for submission of FPR Recommended Ratings.  The portal can be found here:

https://artsfacultydb.uwaterloo.ca/

Once you login with your UW credentials, you will see a list of all faculty who require Recommended Ratings for 2023.

  1.  For each member, please click the blue “Write” button to initiate your submission.

  1.  For each area of evaluation (Teaching, Research, Service), you will see the weightings on record, i.e.:

(Note: if you believe the weighting to be incorrect, you may enter a new weighting with a rationale for the revision).


  1.  You will see ratings from most recent three years:

(Note: “adjusted rating” means that it is not an actual rating, but a three-year average or average of others at same rank)


  1.  You will be prompted for a Recommended Rating, which you will select from a drop-down menu:

  1.  You will be prompted to Rationale for Recommendation in a text box:

  1.  (Note: 1)the text box will expand as needed; 2)please enter SCP scores from 2023 in this box, using this format:

While the next update of this program should pull these scores from the SCP software automatically, if you would benefit from assistance with entering these today, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Caroline or me in the meantime)


  1.  At the end of the page, you will be prompted to “Submit Performance Review” or “Save Review Draft”

Note: Admin Managers have been given access to “Save Review Draft”, but not “Submit Performance Review”;  Chairs/ Directors must “Submit Performance Review” , may also may “Save Review Drafts” while in process.
