[Anthsoc] Flint Knapping and Ottawa Trip details

Hey everyone,

We would like to inform you all of our next event for the term, which 
will take place on Tuesday, February 10th, from 4pm to 5:30pm.  This 
will be a "Flint Knapping Workshop", which has always been popular in 
the past!  Here you will learn some techniques used to make stone tools, 
and even try the techniques out yourself with provided chert or flint.  
We do not have the location of the workshop on campus yet confirmed, but 
we will definitely send you all an email once we do.

Secondly, we will like to advertise a trip to Ottawa, which is being 
planned by the Society of Fine Arts, History Society, and the Political 
Science Student Association.  The trip is planned for the 2nd weekend in 
February, and there are still seats open for any students that may be 
interested.  More details are provided below.  If you are at all 
interested, please contact estieler at uwaterloo.ca so we can arrange to 
collect your fee (the due date for this fee is set for Feb 6th).

Ottawa Trip Details

This trip will include your transportation to and from Ottawa, and your 
hotel-stay for 3 nights.  Various trips with the student societies 
include a trip to the War Museum, Parliament, and to Winterlude, however 
you are not obliged to participate in any of the activities planned.

Cost: $170.00  (This is the base cost)
Accomodations:  Days Inn Downtown Ottawa, 319 Rideau Street,
613.789.5555, 4 students/room = 14 rooms total
These are really nice rooms.  They have a coffee maker, iron + board,
nice washrooms, and 2 Queen Size Beds.  You may have to share a bed with 
someone.
Check In: Thursday, February 12th when bus arrives
Check Out: Sunday, February 15th at 10:00am
