2009/2010 Public Lecture Series

 

The Department of Anthropology is proud to present 

Dr. Sian Evans

"Anthropoid Adventure:  A Journey Establishing a Primate Conservancy"

 

Dr. Evans, who is a specialist in New World Monkeys, was fundamental in
establishing the DuMond Conservancy at Monkey Jungle in Miami, Florida.  She
will be discussing her experiences in setting up a non-profit educational
and research-based organization for the study of primates.  This talk will
interest anthropologists, biologists, environmentalists, and those who may
wish to establish a non-profit research organization.

 

Thursday, November 12, 2009, 4:00 - 5:00 pm 

in PAS 1229

 

followed by a Reception in the PAS Lounge, PAS 3005
