The Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, University of
Notre Dame, is accepting applications for graduate programs that begin
in fall 2010.
The Kroc Institute's master's program (

/programs/masters ) prepares students for careers as professional
peacebuilders, including positions in government and nongovernmental
organizations, conflict transformation, policy analysis, and political and
social change. Students come from around the world and many cultural and
religious backgrounds, bringing with them strong academic records and work
experience related to peace and
justice.
The application deadline for the master's program is January 5.
The Kroc Institute's Ph.D. program (

/programs/phd ) trains scholars in interdisciplinary peace research and
history, political science, psychology, and sociology. Students apply for
admission in one of these four areas. Graduates are prepared for research
and teaching positions that contribute to solving the global challenges of
violent conflict and
peace.
The application deadline for the Ph.D. program is January 10.

is located in South Bend, Indiana, about 90 miles east of Chicago.
Financial aid is available to peace studies students in the form of
scholarships, internships, and stipends.
