Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend this special lecture.  Dr. Kalam will be receiving an honourary degree from the University of Waterloo in the morning and we're most fortunate to be able to arrange this lecture while he is visiting our campus. Biography:
Dr. Kalam is one of the most distinguished scientists of India with a long history of scientific and technological innovation.  During his tenure as the eleventh president of India, he was popularly known as the Missile Man of India and he focused on transforming India into a developed nation through technology.
Dr. Kalam has served as the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India and was responsible for evolving policies, strategies and missions for many development applications.
Above all he took up a mission to ignite the young minds for national development by meeting high school students across the country.
