Dr. Ted McDonald, Professor and Academic Director of the RDC at the University of New Brunswick, will give a presentation on Friday, November 23, 2012 in HH280 2:00 to 3:00pm.  The title is:



"Survey and Administrative data to support population health research: opportunities, caveats, and an application to the incidence of head and neck cancer and thyroid cancer in Canada"


The presentation will highlight the limitations of both survey and administrative datasets for health research and then will conclude with an introduction to a pilot project that overcomes many of these problems by using linked survey-administrative data to investigate individual and contextual factors in cancer incidence between rural and urban areas of Canada.
