What is Knowledge Integration and Why Does It Matter? | Waterloo Lecture
September 18, 2013 | Stratford Public Library (19 St. Andrew St.) | 7PM
Ed Jernigan, Director, Centre of Knowledge Integration at the University of Waterloo will discuss how Knowledge Integration provides a framework for understanding real world problems (challenges of big data and personal security in the digital age, of waning non-renewable resources and global financial crises, poverty, epidemic disease, climate change) by making connections across disciplines that specialized experts typically do not make and a design thinking process that can lead to workable solutions to multi-dimensional problems.
