On Sunday, March 23rd, Dr. Doris Jakobsh, Acting Director of Women's Studies and Associate Professor of Religious Studies, will be speaking at a lecture series entitled Sex Dialogues. Sunday's lecture on sex, religion, and culture will take place at 1:30pm at THEMUSEUM in Kitchener.

The Science of Sexuality is an evocative, informed, creative, conversation-starting exhibition about one of the most ubiquitous, most under-discussed aspects of our life and culture. THEMUSEUM is thrilled to facilitate inspiring, important, transformative ideas and discussions. It's time for the talk. The Sex Dialogues is a series of lectures, panel discussions, films and guest speakers. Conversation is intercourse too.

Dr. Doris Jakobsh's lecture will examine sexuality and the Divine in Eastern religions:

Sexuality, the Body and the Divine in Eastern Religions
What is the connection between the body, sexuality and the Divine within Eastern Religious Traditions? Through sacred texts, poetry, art and archaeology we will examine the mystical dimensions of sexuality and the Divine in three religious traditions - Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism.
