Subject: Free Stratford Forum event Sunday, June 21st

UW faculty, staff, and students are invited to "Playing with Words in Love's Labour's Lost and Hamlet," a special Stratford Forum event this Sunday morning, June 21st, from 10:30-12:00. With the help of Festival actors Seana McKenna and Juan Chioran, Russell Jackson will explore some of the ways that the writing in these plays tests the actors' skill with language. Tickets for this event at Stratford's Studio Theatre are available for free if you use promo code 59159 at the Festival's web site.

Russell Jackson is best-known for his work as text advisor to Kenneth Branagh on stage and radio productions, and on all his Shakespeare films, as well as on such films as John Madden's Shakespeare in Love and Oliver Parker's Othello. His books include the Oxford Illustrated History of Shakespeare on Stage, the Cambridge Companion to Shakespeare on Film, and, most recently, Shakespeare and the English-Speaking Cinema. He is in Stratford for the Shakespearean Theatre Conference: Language in Text and Performance (www.2015stc.ca<http://www.2015stc.ca/>), where he is also speaking. The conference is hosted jointly by the University of Waterloo and the Stratford Festival.
