Tonight: Jack Halberstam on TRANS* Visual archives of the transgendered body

[cid:image003.jpg at 01D47FF6.FEA474A0]Join us at CIGI Auditorium this evening for a special lecture by visiting scholar Jack Halberstam, Professor of Gender Studies and English at Columbia University.

Professor Halberstam is the author of several books, including: Trans: A Quick and Quirky Guide to Gender Variability (U of California Press, 2018); Gaga Feminism: Sex, Gender, and the End of Normal (Beacon Press, 2012); The Queer Art of Failure (Duke UP, 2011); In A Queer Time and Place (NYU Press, 2005) Skin Shows: Gothic Horror and the Technology of Monsters (Duke UP, 1995); Female Masculinity (Duke UP, 1998). Halberstam is currently working on several projects, including a book titled WILD THING on queer anarchy, performance and protest culture, the visual representation of anarchy and the intersections between animality, the human and the environment.
