Dr. Naila Keleta-Mae's areas of research and teaching expertise are race, gender and performance. This presentation of research findings will include performances of excerpts from her plays that explore, in process and production, what Black theatre can do in the 21st Century.

Dr. Naila Keleta-Mae's current artistic and research project Black And Free is funded by grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Canada Council for the Arts and the University of Waterloo.
