Bridge: Honouring MMIWG2SP opening ceremony, Nov. 16, 10 a.m.

This Wednesday, Nov. 16, please participate in the opening of Bridge: Honouring the Lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two Spirit People<https://uwaterloo.ca/arts/events/bridge-2022-honouring-lives-missing-and-murdered-indigenous>, the annual installation for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence at the University of Waterloo.

The Opening Ceremony and Fire begins at 10:00 AM at the Ceremonial Fire Grounds by the creek, then moves to the bridge between Environment 3 and United College. Help create space to learn about the crisis and reflect upon our responsibilities, speak the names the missing and murdered, and tie red ribbons to the bridge in their honour.

Afterwards, everyone is invited to attend a Soup Lunch hosted by Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre (WISC) and supported by the Department of Communication Arts from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. More information<https://uwaterloo.ca/indigenous/bridge-honouring-lives-missing-and-murdered-indigenous-women>.
