Hello everyone,
This is a reminder that the concert will take place tomorrow, February 28th, at 12:30pm. The concert is 50 minutes long, perfect for a lunch break. The Blues of Achilles is simply a(nother) true war story.
This is how Joe Goodkin describes his version of the Iliad: “I write through the Greek, not from it – aiming for translucence rather than translation. I think this method, as well as my reckless dismissal of seven-eighths of the poem, is compatible with the spirit of oral poetry.”” https://uwaterloo.ca/music/events/noon-hour-concert-blues-achilles
