This Saturday as part of Reunion 2024<https://uwaterloo.ca/alumni/reunion-2024>, all three gallery spaces in East Campus Hall are open to the community for extended hours!

Longhouse Labs is the university's newest space for art, directed by Logan MacDonald to celebrate, learn from, and build Indigenous arts leadership through hosting Indigenous artists and their work. Visit their inaugural exhibit featuring "Bead the Tract<https://www.protectthetract.com/bead-the-tract>," an artistic representation of the Haldimand Tract made with 150-160-year-old beads, painted deer hide, and a birch bark frame.

The University of Waterloo Art Gallery is currently featuring two MFA thesis exhibits: In the Mix by Charlie Star<https://uwag.uwaterloo.ca/exhibition/in-the-mix/>, an interdisciplinary exhibit that explores music of the Black diaspora, and Becoming the Poem by Ashley Beerdat<https://uwag.uwaterloo.ca/exhibition/becoming-the-poem/>, an installation of landscape paintings that consider how to foster hope in an ecological crisis.

The Student Art Innovation Lab (SAIL) is a combination gallery and art studio on wheels housed in a classic Airstream trailer. Designed by Tara Cooper, this travelling gallery brings programming to schools and public events and gives Fine Arts students hands-on experience in curation and arts education. The Airstream is open in the East Campus Hall parking lot.
WHEN: Saturday, June 1, 10AM-5PM
