Dear Colleagues:
I write to encourage you to spread the word that UBC is hiring a
tenure-track Assistant Professor in Drama, to be cross-apointed English and
Theatre, starting 1 July 2000 (surely a propitious moment!). The deadline
for applications to be sent to me is 15 November and the full
advertisement, as it will be appearing in CAUT Bulletin, University
Affairs, etc., is sent to you as an attachment. Both Professor Ron
Fedoruk, head of theatre, Film, Creative Writing, and I will be making
efforts to reach as many potential applicants as possible through as many
channels as possible. You may well hear directly from one of other of us
over the next weeks and months. Once you have read the ad, if you know of
excellent potential applicants studying/working outside of Canada, please
send me the names and addresses, including email, and a brief description.
Please think about your own former or current graduate students and
encourage them to apply--a completed PhD is essential.
These positions are as rare as hen's teeth, so I am extremely grateful for
any help you can provide.
Sherrill Grace
