Hello All
Took some rest, and I'm back and at 'em.
It looks like it's a go for the National Theatre Calendar and Registry; I
have gotten positive responses from theatres in each major region of the
nation. The Calendar should be up and running by the end of the month, but
with this proviso: if it turns out to be too much work for too little
participation, it's a goner. If there is tons of participation, then the
work is fun (and the more companies involved, the easier the work,
proportionally...). I am giving the Calendar a test-run to Christmas and
companies will be able to register shows, right now, through to December,
2000. There is a way you can help make this project work; contact theatre
companies in your area and get me their e-mail addresses (companies with no
e-mail cannot participate...welcome to the web). For this service, I will be
delighted to put your name on the masthead as contributor to the Calendar.

A request: If anyone out there is going to the Shaw Festival this year, I
would appreciate any printed material you can get me about the company and
its artists. (Especially like the nifty bios my Stratford spy and senior
contributor - Lindy Cooksey - gets me from the big house.) Getting
information out of Shaw is like...well, choose your metaphor. I will gladly
pay for photo-copying and postage.
Please, folks, if you say you will send me information, do. After, in some
cases, months of waiting I pretty much have to go with what I have. Before
the Calendar goes up, it is now that I can do all this work.
Meanwhile don't forget Heavenly Voices for your regional news and job
postings, audition calls or to tell us about your production.
