                ****apologies for cross-posting****
Hi everyone,
I'd hoped to get these out earlier today, but here they are. Some
interesting choices here, most notably the translation prize where Nancy
Huston is up for translating her own book and the nomination of Jacques
Brault for the "French version of Transfiguration by E.D. Blodgett and
Jacques Brault." Both of these books are very deserving, I think, of their
nominations, but the categories leave something to be desired. Once again,
there is also no crossover between the Giller list and the list for English
language fiction.
As usual, all nominees will be 15% off between now and when the winners
are announced. We are currently not carrying the French titles but will
very happily bring them in if there's a demand. Drop by Northwest Passages
(www.nwpassages.com)a bit later today for our full GG 1999 site.
        Paul
