The following is a call for monologues for an International Women's Week event in Winnipeg.

In celebration of International Women's Week, Sarasvàti Productions will be presenting a performance of monologues. We will be commissioning some local playwrights, but would also love to include national playwrights. The presentation will be somewhat cabaret in nature and composed of monologues by and for women. We would like to deal with issues facing women today and we hope to represent the broad spectrum of culture, age, and experience. We are also hoping that the format of the show will become an annual event and done elsewhere for International Women's Week. Although the event will be in benefit of local women's groups, we will be paying royalties for the use of the monologues. If you have a monologue that you feel would be appropriate for this initiative (2-10 minutes in length), please send it with cover letter and bio by December 1st to:
