[Candrama] Colingual French+English plays?

[Wes Pearce]

Robert LePage and Gord McCall did a billingual R&J for Shakespeare on
the Saskatchewan (Capulets spoke French and the Montagues spoke English)
I'm assuming there is an extant copy of the text somewhere.

girls. A kind of Franglais the girls create --= not sure if that is
right for your purposes.
David Fenario’sBalconville if memory serves.
I forget the author but Beaux Gestes and Beautiful Dreams I think has
some of this as well.

Further to the collectiveBroue, there is Raoul Granger’s Bonneau et la
Bellehumeur, in which three languages come into play, Laurier Gareau’s
translation of Ken Brown’s Cowboy Poétréand other plays from the
bilingual regions of Canada. In addition to Nicole’s fine book, I
suggest the excellent and pioneering scholarly work done by Louise
Ladouceur.

I think that Madeleine Blais-Dahlem's play, *La Maculee* does some of

A colleague has asked me about what Canadian plays are out there in
which one character speaks French and another English and, perhaps, they
speak to each other, but not in the others’ language. I’d be happy to
