Please join us next week for Act Three of Performing Emergence: RePlay, ReCollect, ReExist, the 2022 conference of the Canadian Association for Theatre Research<https://catracrt.ca/>. Our final act begins this Sunday June 12 and continues until Tuesday June 14, with events taking place both online and in person at the University of Lethbridge. The conference will feature lively conversations in English and French from across the fields of drama, theatre, dance, performance studies, and artistic practice.

Keynote speaker Tara Beagan
Please join us on Sunday June 12th at 8:45 MT (10:45 ET) to see our keynote speaker, Tara Beagan. Tara Beagan is proud to be Ntlaka’pamux and, through her late father’s side, of Irish ancestry. She is cofounder/director of ARTICLE 11 with Andy Moro, based in Mohkinstsis. Beagan served as Artistic Director of Native Earth Performing Arts from February 2011 to December 2013. Seven of her 32 plays are published. Two plays have received Dora Award nominations (one win). Beagan was the 2020 laureate of the Siminovitch Prize for theatre, playwriting.

Other highlights include panels on Screen Acting and Embodied Cognition, Performing Objects in Teaching, Learning, and Creating Theatre, and the (Re)configuration of Philippine-Canadian Theatre. We’ll be screening the film Istotsi: The Land We Live On by Making Treaty Seven (MT7), and presenting roundtables on What Future Exists for the Prairie Theatre Sector? and Forging Right Relations between Indigenous People of Turtle Island and Ireland. Lunch sessions include book launches by Talonbooks and Playwrights Canada Press, featuring readings by the authors of Interdependent Magic: Disability Performance in Canada, and Voices of a Generation: Three Millennial Plays. Those attending in person can attend a tour of current exhibitions at the University of Lethbridge Art Gallery, a Listening Walk on the Coulee Edge, and dinner and a drag show with Lethbridge's Theatre Outré!

Joignez-vous à nous la semaine prochaine pour le troisième acte de L’Émergence en scène : rejouer, réunir et réexister, le colloque 2022 de l’Association canadienne de la recherche théàtrale<https://catracrt.ca/> (ACRT).  qui se déroulera en ligne du 6 au 7 juin, parrainé par l'Université de Toronto Scarborough. Notre dernier acte commence ce dimanche 12 juin et se poursuit jusqu'au mardi 14 juin, avec des événements se déroulant à la fois en ligne et en personne à l'Université de Lethbridge. Le colloque proposera des conversations animées en anglais et en français dans les domaines de l'art dramatique, du théâtre, de la danse, de la performance et de la pratique artistique.

Rejoignez-nous le le dimanche 12 juin à 8h45 MT (10h45 HE) pour assister à la présentation de notre oratrice principal, Tara Beagan. Tara Beagan est fière d’être Ntlaka'pamux, ainsi que d’origine irlandaise du côté de son père, aujourd’hui décédé.
