Dr. Jehonathan Pinthus of McMaster University and his team will directly address the longstanding uncertainty regarding a connection between Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) – an important and common treatment for prostate cancer – and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Pinthus’ work will be the first to make this topic the primary study focus, and, in so doing, will provide unprecedented insight that will inform patient management practices to mitigate risk for men being treated with ADT.

Get together, get outside! On Sunday, June 21 Prostate Cancer Canada will host the annual Do it for Dads Walk Run, a perfect Father’s Day activity. There are 9 fun, family-friendly locations across Canada that succeed year after year in raising awareness and funds for the leading cancer affecting Canadian men and the families that love them.
Run alone or walk as a group- everyone is welcome!
The event has become tradition for many families- some have been attending yearly for over a decade. They do it because it’s enjoyable. They do it because it’s a great experience. They do it because it makes a difference.
By participating, families have an impact on the research that has the greatest potential to improve prostate cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment which ensures a better quality of life for survivors.
Join us on Father’s Day for this memorable journey. Experience a sense of community as we raise awareness for the 1 in 8 Canadian men who will face a prostate cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.
Take the first step and Do it for Dad.

The ability to find, track and understand metastasis in cancer patients remains one of the greatest challenges in cancer treatment.
On Tuesday, May 5, at 7pm EDT, Join Dr. Alison Allan as she describes the current knowledge about metastasis and the exciting developments in blood-based biomarker tests that may help find metastatic disease earlier and provide important information for effective, personalized treatment of prostate cancer.
