Gerridzen, MD, FRCSC, FACS, completed medical school at the University of Ottawa and his Urology training at the University of Ottawa, followed by a Fellowship in Urodynamics, Neurourology & Incontinence at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto. Following a period on staff at Sunnybrook, Dr. Gerridzen returned to the Ottawa Civic Hospital to set up the regional Urodynamics laboratory. He is a senior staff Urologic Surgeon at The Ottawa Hospital and Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery, University of Ottawa. Dr. Gerridzen was a member of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada Board of Examiners in Urology for 11 years. He was past President of the Canadian Urodynamics Professionals Association and Canadian Urological Association. He was Program Director for the University of Ottawa Urology Residency Training Program; Chair, Division of Urology, University of Ottawa and Chief, Division of Urology, The Ottawa Hospital. He was recipient of Canadian Urological Association Life Achievement Award in 2015.
