Body Image and Self-Esteem

Managing image related stress

Body image involves the way we think and feel about our bodies. Cancer can change the way we look and how we experience our bodies both physically and emotionally. It can impact the way the body functions, leave scars, make you lose your hair, and cause changes in moods and energy levels. These changes can have an impact on our self-esteem. In this workshop, we will explore the impact of a negative body image on self-esteem and identify strategies to assist you in developing a healthy body image. If you have concerns or questions about your body image, this workshop will allow you to talk openly with a healthcare professional.
