Subject: Quality of Life/Wellbeing meeting: "Can any good result from a prostate cancer diagnosis?" Tuesday March 6th.
Survivors/Partners/Caregivers/Friends of PCCN-Toronto:
A prostate cancer diagnosis is typically linked to negative feelings; hence adjectives such as 'worried', 'angry' etc. feature in the PCCN-Toronto brochure. But, as confirmed at a recent Peer to Peer meeting, feelings could be neutral ('relieved' for example) or even somewhat positive ('resolute').
Many survivors in fact state emphatically that their prostate cancer journey in some ways impacted positively on their lives.
At our next Quality of Life meeting (Tuesday March 6th) we will be considering questions such as...
"Is a prostate cancer diagnosis 100 percent bad?/ Can anything good result from a prostate cancer diagnosis?"
Views on this very personal matter would of course vary considerably. You are invited to attend and provide your perspective.
The meeting will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Advent Valleyview Retirement Residence (at the same time as our regular Peer to Peer Support meeting); and it will be in the boardroom next door.
ALL ARE WELCOME...IN PARTICULAR PARTNERS, CAREGIVERS AND 'THE RECENTLY DIAGNOSED'.
Winston Klass
PCCN-Toronto
Please note the following presentations:
Pelvic Health on June 5th.
The Medicinal Use of Cannabis on October 5th.
