Hello Everyone,

Prostate Cancer Awareness month takes place in September every year. Many of
the group have already begun activities and events to help create awareness
about the disease this month.  We will be posting on social media as we
learn about your activities. You dont have to have a Twitter account to see
what is happening- check us out on Twitter @ProstateCancerC.

If you would like us to post for you please let me know directly. 

I want to take this opportunity to personally thank the groups in
Peterborough, Moncton, Halifax, and Thunder Bay who have in addition to
proclamations raised flags at City Hall with their mayors.  Thank you to all
who did the important leg work to make this all happen! I had the great
pleasure of attending and supporting the Peterborough event and it was a
huge success!   ( You can see pictures of all the flag raisings on PCCs
Twitter feed).

This Sunday- September 9th the 12th Annual Cruisin for a Cure Canada takes
place in Brampton, Ontario.  This is one amazing car show that is run by Jim
Dorsey and the amazing team from PCCN Brampton that has helped saved lives
over many years.  The show provides free PSA testing for men 40 and over.
If you are in Ontario and you love cars you have to come to this show! If
you want to show a vehicle you can still register to midnight tonight,
Friday, September 7th, 2018 on-line or at the show on Sunday. Please check

A few other events to mention coming up this month that we know about so far
in the various regions:

1.       September 20th  CANCER de la PROSTATE SOIREE DINFORMATION

Montreal  in the Amphitheatre  Centre de recherché du CHUM (CRCHUM)

2.       September 26th  PCCN Toronto presents Dr. Mark Moyad from the
University of Michigan

Fad Diets and Dietary Supplements

3.       September 28th  PROSTAID Calgary presents the 4th Annual Tailgate
party with the Calgary Stampeders

The game is in the late afternoon and the group gets a lot of support at
this event.

Calgary has the best tailgating parties in the CFL and this one will help
create prostate cancer awareness.

Thank you to everyone for doing such a great job in creating awareness about
prostate cancer throughout this month.  You are making a world of difference
for all those who are going to learn about prostate cancer now and in the
future!
