Canadian Cancer Survivor Network’s The Science of Cancer online course is scheduled to be launched in the first week of March!

The free online course will provide individuals who have been affected by cancer with the necessary tools, skills, and background knowledge in the science, research, and cancer sphere. Once participants complete the course, they will have the ability to confidently participate on peer review research funding committees, patient and family advisory councils, and other bodies where important decisions are being made about cancer diagnosis, treatment, and funding.

The course has 10 modules and is expected to take approximately 8 hours for participants to complete, and has been designed to be flexible, and participants will be able to complete the online course at their own pace. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate and will be added to a list of candidates for potential recommendations by CCSN for unique patient engagement opportunities within their community - or in the wider Canadian healthcare system.
