Dear Glen,
This is what's happening remotely at HopeSpring this week. 

 




CBC Kitchener-Waterloo recently reported about cancer care at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre in the time of COVID-19. This article highlights that HopeSpring is a life line to so many and cancer treatment continues to be delivered. Did you know that we have traveled over 2000 km to deliver wigs and camisoles for those in need?

Are you located in Brant County and looking for fabric face masks?

The CareMongering-Brantford Mask Makers is a small group of 25+ volunteers making cloth masks for seniors, essential workers, and people with underlying health conditions. 

Please email  <mailto:JOHNLCWANG at OUTLOOK.COM> johnlcwang at outlook.com to arrange porch delivery within Brant County. Please make reference to HopeSpring, general mask pattern/colour requests if any, and a drop-off location. 

The masks are free of charge. Cash donations, quilting cotton, unused 100% cotton fabrics, used men's t-shirts (for ties/tapes) are welcomed. All donations will go towards making more masks to distribute to the community.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada is hosting a new program series called Your Life After Cancer and you're invited to attend virtually:

Dr. Mary Jane Esplen, executive director of the de Souza Institute and clinician at the University Health Network will discuss common survivorship issues and share ways to cope and move forward.

Caring for a loved one with cancer can be a hard job mentally and physically. Even when treatment ends, caregivers still play an important role in the lives of cancer survivors. Dr. Ashley Margeson and Dr. Jeremy Hayman will discuss the reality of caregiver burnout and how we can work to prevent it from happening.
