Hi all:

See below for a note I've sent to  a number pf Prostate Cancer Support
Groups.

The purpose is to gather some info on the number of men who have had a
Robotic Assisted Prostatectomy.

The intention is to  persuade Ontario Health cover the total cost of RAP.

If you have had RAP, please respond to this note (to  me) with your name,
e-mail, where you live, and year of surgery.

Hello Executive / contact members of Ontario Prostate Cancer Support Groups:

The group which I chair, Prostate Cancer Support Group Waterloo-Wellington,
has 8-10 members who have successfully undergone Robotic Assisted Prostate
Surgery.

The short hospital stay for the minimally invasive procedure, sometimes only
1 day, and the prompt recovery lead to  a positive Quality of Life post
surgery.

I am asking you to  read the attached letter and share it with any members
of your group who have had a Robotic Assisted Prostatectomy.

As OHIP does not cover the total cost of robotic surgery, those who have had
such  surgery are being asked to provide their name, city, and year of
surgery, and promptly respond via an email to  me at  glen46nor at gmail.com

The responses will be consolidated and then passed to  the President & CEO
of Ontario Health to advocate for OHIP coverage of Robotic Assisted Surgery.
