Hi Brian,
Hmm.. the purpose of the BG Rule template is really more of a
stepping-stone -- it shows you what the SPA stuff is doing under the
hood. So we really only use it to demonstrate that it's possible, but
for anything more than a simple example we ten to go with the spa
library.
What are you attempting to do? In general, a basal ganglia on its own
can't really do much -- you need a thalamus to actually implement the
effects of the chosen action, and you need something like what we're
calling cortex to store the information that's supposed to be fed into
the basal ganglia and be affected by the thalamus...
