[Ssphrfaculty] Graduate Supervision Series - Fall 2026 (spots available)

[Ian Milligan]

Dear SSPHR faculty,

A quick note that if any of you are working towards Sole Supervisory Privilege Status (SSPS) and haven't yet done the Graduate Supervision Series<https://uwaterloo.ca/centre-for-teaching-excellence/support-faculty-and-staff/support-new-faculty/graduate-supervision-series-faculty>: the Fall 2026 offering is running on Friday, October 2nd and Friday, October 30th (with some online work in between). There are still a few spots. This series satisfies the SSPS training component.

Registration is through GoSignMeUp (you may need to claim your account first): https://uwaterloo.gosignmeup.com/public/Course/browse?courseid=8497

If you started the series in a previous term but didn't finish, or hold training that you think might be equivalent to SSPS from another institution and want to know which of the six modules still apply, please touch base with Mary Power (CC’d here) directly.

If you can’t make this one, there’s another offering on Friday, February 5th and Friday, March 5th. Please e-mail Maris Weiss m2weiss at uwaterloo.ca to be put on the list to be notified when enrolment opens.

See many of you on Friday,

Ian
