[Ssphrstaff] THANK YOU

[Ian Milligan]

Dear SSPHR staff and academic administrators,

This is just a quick note to say THANK YOU to you all.

If we thought the summer was busy, the term has brought its fair share of curveballs and surprises – from implementing new organizational structures to working through the details of new collective agreements. The first year of any new structure or role is the toughest, and we're all navigating this together. I've held enough administrative roles to know that, eventually, the new processes and work habits come together and things do get easier.

We're now almost halfway through our first "full" term as a School. So please know, from the bottom of my heart, that I appreciate you all and the work you do to help make this School work… and that I'm here to support you.

I hope you can all unplug over the long weekend. The emails will wait, and the students will be unplugging too (I hope!). And while I know Reading Week is more of a "Reading Emails" week for us, I hope we can all catch a bit of a breather along the way.

Ian
