Position: The Department of Drama has been in existence for 23 years.
The underlying pedagogical principle of its teaching is that theory and
practice are each indispensable to the other. Academic staff are
therefore required to show proficiency in their understanding of both.
You will be involved in undergraduate and post-graduate teaching on both
theoretical and practical levels; curriculum development work for upper
level undergraduate courses and will be expected to contribute actively
to the Department's research profile. Other responsibilities include.
administrative tasks associated with the position.

Person: You will have a PhD in Drama or theatre studies (or equivalent);
experience in the teaching of drama at a tertiary level including
practical workshop and production contexts; a broad understanding of
Shakespeare-in-performance, a period of theatre history, and a practical
skill in the areas of performance or stage direction or drama in
education

Benefits: Level B $50,359 to $59,8037 per annum. Compulsory contributory
superannuation is a condition of employment plus generous employer
contribution of 17%.
