[Candrama] CATR 2019 conference information and CATR elections

Dear all,

I invite you to join CATR (or to renew your membership) in time to be eligible to vote in our upcoming elections and to attend our upcoming conference in Vancouver. Details below. La version française suit.

Elections

The Nominations Committee and our Elections Officer have filed a slate of candidates to fill 8 Board position which will be made public shortly. The election period will be from 1 March 2019 to 15 March 2019. Membership and Conference Registration

As it has been a couple of years since our annual conference was held as part of the Congress of Social Sciences and Humanities, I offer the following reminder – membership in CATR and registration for the CATR 2019 conference are two separate processes, both of which must be completed in order to attend CATR 2019 in Vancouver. CATR membership fees are the same as last year and are indexed to income and location (within or outside of Canada); they range from $40 to $165.

To attend the CATR in June, CATR members must also register for Congress. Registration fees are broken down into two components – the Congress fees and the Association fees, outlined below.

CATR Association fees to attend the conference:

Because we are back in the fold of Congress, the overall costs of attending our conference are higher this year than last. As such, the CATR 2019 conference committee has significantly lowered the Association fees.

Mandatory

Regular Members: $200

Student, retired or unwaged: $100

Optional : Banquet

Faculty: $60

Students/Unwaged: $40

Accommodation:
Local Arrangements Coordinator, Dr. Julia Henderson, wants you to know that Congress is encouraging everyone to book their accommodations for Congress 2019 as soon as possible. Vancouver will be very busy in June, with Congress and also other local events and attractions, so there will be some pressure on accommodations. On-campus single dorm rooms start at $60/night. Adhésion à l’ACRT et inscription au colloque

Comme notre colloque de 2019 se tient sous l’égide du Congrès annuel des sciences humaines, pour y participer il faut d’abord devenir membre de l’ACRT, ou renouveller votre adhésion à l’ACRT<https://forum.ideas-idees.ca/?lid=TNJ5B-ATKFF-WRAGS&pkClient=12>, et ensuite vous inscrire au colloque<https://www.congres2019.ca/inscriptions>.

Frais
Les frais d’adhésion à l’ACRT pour 2019 n’ont pas augmenté, ils sont toujours indexés au revenu et dépendent de votre lieu de résidence ; ils vont de 40 $ à 165 $.

Les frais d’inscription comprennent deux composantes : les frais d’inscription au Congrès et les frais de conférence de l’Association. Frais de colloque de l’association

Le paiement des frais de colloque de l’association est obligatoire pour toute personne qui assiste à l’événement, ce qui comprend les organisateurs, les conférenciers, les animateurs, les panélistes, les invités spéciaux et ceux qui président ou participent aux diverses séances. Les frais de colloque des associations ne couvrent pas les cotisations d’adhésion à une association en particulier.
L’ACRT a réduit de manière significative les frais de l’association faisant partie des frais d’inscription au Congrès.
