Over the last 3 years, the University of Waterloo’s printmaking area has implemented a suite of methodologies that promote greener, safer and more economical studio habits for the print shop. As part of these efforts, we have created a series of online tutorials and resources through the generous support of UW’s LITE Seed Grant program. The tutorials are fun and informative with lots of printmaking tips and tricks, from how to use the acrylic-based etching system, to working with polymer film, screen printing and sharpening your carving tools.  We are excited to launch our compendium, as a helpful tool for both the beginner and the aficionado.

Come to the launch and see hands-on demos, a print installation by graduate student Liz Little, a talk by printmaker Kevin Haas (1:00 pm) and a lithography competition. Learn more about our Compendium and printmaking!
