The S Word: Stanislavski and the future of Acting

Please circulate this information to friends and colleagues who may be interested:

The Stanislavski Centre is developing a major international symposium for March 2016 –
The S Word: Stanislavski and the future of Acting.
We now have a webpage so that we can begin to gauge interest from potential contributors and attendees. The page also gives some basic information about the event itself: this will be developed over the next couple of months.
This will be the most ambitious international project that The Centre has ever undertaken, and the event is being staged in partnership with The University of California Riverside – Professor Bella Merlin is co-curating the event – and sponsored by Routledge/Taylor and Francis.
A formal call for contributors will be published in September.
The webpage includes a form which allows potential contributors to register their interest: the event will include academic papers and presentations, lectures and talks, workshops and master-classes… and the opening night will include a keynote address by Professor Anatoly Smeliansky (Moscow Art Theatre School), and The Stanislavski Centre/Routledge annual lecture delivered by Professor Sharon Carnicke (University of Southern California).
