[Candrama] REMINDER - IFTR WG -Performance and Migration. October 15, 2025 online meeting

Dear colleagues,
We hope your 2025–2026 academic year has begun well. The Performance and Migration IFTR Working Group is ready to resume our online meetings. We prepared two sessions for the Fall 2025: October 15 and November 11, 2025.
We begin with the session “Practices and Dramaturgies of Migration” run by Steve Wilmer. We hope many of you will be able to attend. Here is the information:

The focus of this meeting is practice: Performance has always been a space where lived experience meets artistic form. In migration contexts, practice is not simply the “application” of ideas—it is a process of negotiation, adaptation, and cultural exchange. By foregrounding practice, we aim to highlight the creative labour, ethical questions, and collaborative methodologies that shape performance-making in migration contexts. These essays will demonstrate how practice both reflects and transforms the politics of mobility, belonging, and representation.
Our November 11, 2025 meeting will be dedicated to the online launch of the European Journal of Theatre and Performance, Vol. 1, No. 7 (2025), focusing on the theme Exile and (Neo)Nationalism.

We already issued a CFP for our meeting at the IFTR 2026. You can find it attached to this note.
We hope to receive many proposals. Please, be aware of the proposed schedule:
1 November, 2025: Abstract submissions open.
Abstracts must be submitted to the IFTR conference platform via the IFTR webpage<https://iftr.org/conference-2026/>.
    8 December, 2025: Abstract submissions close.
