Dear PCCN Group Leader,

Last week Prostate Cancer Canada launched a new national awareness campaign.
Its called Wear Plaid for Dad.  Hopefully, you received the press release
that I sent out to all group leaders last week. (If you missed it please see
below)

On June 19th, (the Friday before Fathers Day)  Canadians across the country
are being challenged to wear something plaid to help create awareness and
raise funds for much needed prostate cancer research.  Many workplaces and
teams are opting in to join us.

We invite you and your support group members to opt in with other Canadians,
workplaces, groups, ant teams.

Every PCCN group who registers as a team to raise funds is entitled to apply
for funding from our mission program.  This is the same funding that groups
can apply for when you put together a team and raise monies for the
Fathers Day Walk Run.  Every group who registers and raises monies may
apply for 50% of what you raise , to be used for your own group.

We are asking Canadians to make a suggested donation of $8 that represents
the 1 in 8 Canadian men who will face a prostate cancer diagnosis in their
lifetime. One half of every donation from your team will go to support your
group.

If your PCCN group is interested please register on the link below as a
workplace campaign with your PCCN groups name.  You do have to register to
be able to apply for the funds at the end of the campaign.  As well we are
happy to send you other resources to help you promote the campaign within
your group.

Please consider joining with Canadians and your peer support groups all
across the country to help create awareness on June 19th for prostate
cancer, and let me know if you will be raising funds so that when the
campaign is through I can send you your application form for the funding.
We are looking forward to lots of great photos that we can post on social
media on your behalf!
