Quick notes from yesterday.

Submit IST request when:

1.	Cannot find port in netmon
2.	Label panel port if not labelled (e.g. TC-####)
3.	Network drop request (FIN charges)
4.	Clean-up panel ports and install panel

ACO Actions

1.	Login Netmon 
https://netmon.uwaterloo.ca/Home/
2.	Use Search > Ctrl+F to locate room, network closet

3.	For example, to look-up ports in ML 110 

4.	Locating network ports in ML. Use Ctrl+F > "ml"

5.	*need to build out a network legend*
6.	Ml 110B > network closet for first floor rooms. Select the link

7.	Here is the switch landing page
With colour identification for port status
*need a quick lengend?*

8.	Search (Ctrl+F) 31 

9.	Under VLAN

a.	160 = 1:1 relationship = static = requires dedicated MAC address
b.	460 = 1:many relationship = dynamic = requires a machine connect;
cannot be a USB-C monitor

1.	Update datajack and room information in netmon (individually)

2.	Select details

3.	Under Datajack Configuration > select Change

4.	 
5.	Scroll 
6.	Scroll down to #26 > select Edit > datajack and room will
autopopulate > select save datajack assignment and apply device config

7.	The following screen will appear showing the changes are being
applied

8.	Select Back to Device

Meeting Purpose: ACO process, procedure, and document network activations

Hi Scott,

Follow-up on the procedures and documentation for ACO staff to add the
following devices on the network.

Noting, 

*	Bill may call a team meeting during this time and we can incorporate
or reschedule.
*	These might be outstanding JIRA tickets by Bill. 

ML 110A:

*	Network port:

*	Port panel
should see - TC-####
(telecommunications closet - to help identify
*if not - request IST to create via request ? 

*	Add temp label >

Reference Scott's earlier ticket? Pre-COVID period
IST disable port after XX days of inactivity via a script?

This does not reflect on netmon app

If work done directly on the switch - change is not reflected on netmon app

If port was originally activated > ACO can re-active via netmon

Netmon:

*	Lookup if patched on a switch

Request IST to stop disable ports ?
IST generale a report on disabled ports?* (Bill)

Request IST whitelist - hoteling space, communal area (Bill)

Future proof - ML 113: using monitors - understand IST script timing - to
ensure returning clients (Bill)
